2026 EDITION
Welcome to the second edition of the Totana Organ Festival.
The Sanctuary of La Santa de Totana is, in itself, a magnificent site, distinguished by its architecture, its privileged natural setting, its impressive paintings, and its profound religious significance. Added to this is one of the two historic organs of the Guadalentín Valley—a true treasure that this festival continues to showcase and bring closer to the public.
Following the success of its inaugural edition, the Totana Organ Festival returns in 2026 with a new program that brings together distinguished performers from the national stage while once again reserving a space for new generations through the Young Performers’ Platform.
Between September and November, we will enjoy four concerts where we can discover the technical, sonic, and musical capabilities of our organ, presented by Alize Mendizabal, Norbert Itricht, Jaime Martínez, and Ana Belén García.
The program is designed not only to allow audiences to enjoy great works spanning different eras but also to reveal the richness of a unique instrument within an equally extraordinary setting.
We invite all lovers of music and great sensory experiences to visit us and enjoy the music, history, nature, and heritage that make La Santa de Totana a unique destination and one of the most important tourist sites in the Region of Murcia.

2026 Festival
The festival will feature four concerts spread throughout the autumn of 2026, held at the Sanctuary of Santa Eulalia in Totana at 8:00 PM.
Saturday, September 19, 2026: Alize Mendizabal.
Principal organist at the Basilica of Santa María in San Sebastián and professor at Musikene (Higher School of Music of the Basque Country).
Saturday, October 10, 2026: Norbert Itrich.
International concert artist and artistic director of various organ music festivals and concert series, such as the “Las Merindades” Festival, “La Bureba,” and the “San Vicente Festival.”
Saturday, November 7, 2026: Jaime Martínez – “Young Performers’ Platform.”
Organist at the Church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen (Murcia) and regular organist at Murcia Cathedral.
Saturday, November 28, 2026: Ana Belén García.
Principal organist at the Basilica of Santa María del Coro in San Sebastián and artistic director of the International Organ Festival within San Sebastián’s *Quincena Musical*.
Following the concert, a reception with Spanish wine will be offered to all attendees, providing an opportunity to meet the organist in person, converse, and discuss the performance.
This event is sponsored by Bodegas Luzón (Jumilla) and will take place on the sanctuary grounds at the “La Santa” Cafeteria, a festival sponsor.
Alize Mendizabal

Born in San Sebastián, she is an organist and pianist trained at the conservatories of San Sebastián, Bayonne, and Toulouse, where she earned various awards for excellence. She has studied under distinguished international masters and has built an extensive career as a soloist, performing at festivals and organ concert series across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Since 2002, she has been a member of the Conductus Ensemble and the principal organist for the Andra Mari Choir, and has collaborated with ensembles such as the Orfeón Donostiarra. She is a faculty member at Musikene (the Higher School of Music of the Basque Country) and has also taught organ in Bayonne. In 2009, she was appointed principal organist of the great Cavaillé-Coll organ (1863) at the Basilica of Santa María in San Sebastián. In recent years, she has furthered her education by studying medieval music at CIMM Valldigna.
Norbert Itrich

Born in Poland, he is an organist and liturgical organ instructor, having trained at the Pelplin Episcopal Organ School and qualified as a saxophone teacher at the Grudziądz Conservatory. He has resided in Spain since 2002, where he furthered his studies with Esteban Landart at Musikene and Radosław Marzec at the Bydgoszcz Conservatory. He has performed organ and saxophone concerts at numerous festivals across Spain, Europe, the United States, and Russia. His repertoire spans from the Baroque era to contemporary music, and he is particularly noted for his mastery of improvisation. He served as the principal organist of Santander Cathedral from 2004 to 2020 and spearheaded the construction of its three new organs, in addition to participating in the restoration and recovery of some twenty other instruments. He is currently active as an artistic director for organ festivals and concert series, and as the driving force behind the *Santuario de la Música* project.
Jaime Martínez

Born in Murcia in 1998, he holds a diploma in Piano and degrees in Physics and Organ—disciplines he pursued concurrently. He graduated in Organ with Distinction (Matrícula de Honor) from the Manuel Massotti Littel Higher Conservatory of Music in Murcia and has furthered his training through specialized courses in early music performance.
He has given organ recitals in Spain, Italy, and Austria, participating in festivals and concert series such as Suenan los Órganos, the Festa Europea della Musica in Udine, and the Jornadas de Órgano in Zaragoza. He is also active as a harpsichord continuo player and collaborates with various choral and instrumental ensembles in the Region of Murcia.
He serves on the board of directors of AMAORM, helping to organize concert series and music outreach activities. He is currently the organist at the Church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen in Murcia and regularly performs on the Merklin organ at Murcia Cathedral.
Ana Belén García

Born in Andoain (Gipuzkoa) in 1977, she is an organist, pianist, harpsichordist, conductor, and cultural manager. Holding advanced degrees in organ, piano, and harpsichord, she completed her training with a Master’s degree in Musical Mediation, Management, and Dissemination from Musikene, studying under distinguished national and international masters.
Since 2022, she has directed the International Organ Festival of the San Sebastián Quincena Musical, and since 2018, the Lourdes Iriondo Music School in Urnieta. She serves as the resident organist at the Basilica of Santa María del Coro in San Sebastián—home to the historic 1863 Cavaillé-Coll organ—and has collaborated for years with the Easo Choir, the Orfeón Donostiarra, and numerous other choral ensembles.
As a concert artist, she maintains an active performance schedule across Spain, France, Belgium, Russia, Japan, and the United States, appearing both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles. Committed to contemporary music, she has participated in numerous premieres and projects dedicated to promoting organ heritage.
